          What are the business hours?
Township hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.  The second Tuesday of each month the Township is open 8:30 am - 8:30 pm, and the Friday that follows the late Tuesday 8:30 am - 12 pm.

For 2009, we are closed on New Year's Day 1/2, Martin Luther King, Jr. 1/19, President's Day Observed 2/16, Good Friday 4/10, Memorial Day Observed 5/25, 4th of July, Labor Day Observed 9/7, Veteran's Day 11/10, Thanksgiving 11/26 & 27, Christmas Day 12/25


          What if my garbage wasn't collected?
If you did not receive scheduled collection services for:

Garbage, Plastics, Cans, Bottles, Paper or Newspaper please call Waste Management Customer Service at 973-383-7480 ext 242.

Grass, Leaves and Brush call Blue Diamond Disposal at 973-598-9800.

If collection problems continue to occur call the Pequannock Township Health Department at 973-835-5700 x127.


          Where are Council meetings held?
Council meetings are held in the Court Room in the Municipal Building 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:30pm.

          When will my garbage be picked up?

Garbage collection is provided twice a week, Tuesday and Friday, effective November 1, 2000.  ALL RECYCLABLE MATERIAL must be removed from garbage prior to collection. Garbage collection will not occur on New Year's Day, Memorial day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but will occur on the day after the holiday. All garbage shall be placed in a suitable watertight container within five feet of the street in front of your premises. Containers shall not be placed out prior to 6:00 P.M. on the evening before collection and must be removed no later than 6:00 P.M. on the day of collection. Residents may place out for collection up to three thirty-gallon containers (or their equivalent) for each collection day.



          Where do I get a birth or marriage certificate?

You may order a birth certificate by mail or in person at the Pequannock Township Department of Health, Division of Vital Records. If you apply by mail, your request must include: the full name on the birth certificate; the date of birth; the city where the birth occurred; mother's full maiden name; a daytime telephone number; a self addressed, stamped envelope where the record should be sent and a personal check or money order in the amount of $10 payable to Pequannock Township Health Department.. If you desire further information on applying in person or by mail, you should call the Pequannock Township Division of Vital Records at 973-835-5700 Ext.127.
