What are the business hours?
Township Hours:
Regular office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Extended hours from 8:30 am - 7:30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month and 8:30 am - 1:00 pm on the Friday that follows the late Tuesday.
Holiday Schedule:

Where are Council meetings held? Council meetings are held in the Court Room in the Municipal Building 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7:00pm.

Where do I get a birth or marriage certificate?
Vital Statistics & Records:
(Birth, Marriage, Civil Union, Domestic Partnership, Death)
Records can be obtained in person from our office or by mail. The event MUST have occured in Pequannock Township in order to obtain a record from the Towship.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

To Request in Person:
Certificate obtained same day (Typically about five minute wait)
-Identification is required (NO Exceptions)
*If requesting on behalf of a child, spouse, sibling or parent additional identification is required. You must prove relationship to the individual of record (birth certificate or marriage certificate along with driver's license or passport)
-$25.00 fee for first document; $5.00 for each additional certified copy of the same record.
-Completed application at Health Department

*Please note, that with the change of haulers, collection routes may have changed. So, your pick up times may change within the day. Please have ALL items to the curb BEFORE 6 a.m. on collection day. Thank you.

When will my garbage be picked up?
Garbage collection is provided twice a week, Tuesday and Friday. Recycling Collection is provided once a week, Monday. ALL RECYCLABLE MATERIAL must be removed from garbage prior to collection. Garbage collection will not occur on New Year's Day, Memorial day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but will occur on the day after the holiday. All garbage shall be placed in a suitable watertight container within five feet of the street in front of your premises. Containers shall not be placed out prior to 6:00 P.M. on the evening before collection and must be removed no later than 6:00 P.M. on the day of collection. Residents may place out for collection up to three thirty-gallon containers (or their equivalent) for each collection day.

Where is the court session held? Court sessions are held at the Municipal Building, 530 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, 2nd Floor, Pompton Plains. Sessions are held every Monday morning at 11:00 a.m.
