Drug Related Arrests: On August 6, 2017 at 11:25 a.m., Ptl. Michael Kimak was dispatched to respond to an area in the woods near Forrest Drive. Upon his arrival, Ptl. Kimak observed an individual standing near a tent like structure. As officers attempted to speak with this individual, he became uncooperative and attempted to walk away. A female was also located in the area and provided incorrect information as to the identity of the male. After a brief investigation, several empty drug folds and a small amount of marijuana were found to be in the possession of the male. Matthew Ricciardi, 25 years old from Hoboken, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Mr. Ricciardi was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering his own apprehension. Rachel A. Miscia, 24 years old from Pompton Plains, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice for providing false information to a law enforcement officer. Both individuals were released on their own recognizance and have pending appearances in court.
