Marijuana Arrest: On November 1, 2017 at 10:48 a.m., Ptl. Kevin Boone was monitoring traffic on Route 23 North when he observed a vehicle pass his location with a cracked wind shield and objects hanging from the rear view mirror. Ptl. Boone stopped the car and made contact with the operator. During their conversation, the officer smelled what he recognized as the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. The driver then admitted that there was marijuana in the car and presented it to the officer. Luis A. Rosales, 30 years old from Jersey City, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Mr. Rosales was charged with having a view obstruction and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance and has a pending court appearance.
