DWI Arrest: On December 19, 2017 at 11:32 a.m., Ptl. James Dericks, observed a vehicle traveling on Sanders Place with an expired registration. Ptl. Dericks stopped the car and made contact with the driver. During their conversation, the officer observed several indicators consistent with the operator being under the influence of alcohol. A records check also indicated that the driver’s license was expired and that there was an outstanding arrest report. After performing several field sobriety tests, Jamie M. Rossi, 37 years old from Parsippany, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Mr. Rossi was charged with driving while intoxicated, expired registration, expired license, careless driving and failure to possess a driver’s license. He was released to a third party and has a pending court appearance.
