Marijuana Arrests: On December 22, 2017 at 11:34 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Nelson observed a vehicle traveling on Route 23 North with the passenger headlight not working. Ptl. Nelson stopped the car and made contact with the occupants. During their conversation, the officer smelled what he recognized to be the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the car. After a brief investigation, a small amount of suspected marijuana and some drug paraphernalia was discovered. Miguel A. Laracuente, 2nd, 20 years old from Wayne, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Mr. Laracuente was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain the lamps on his vehicle. Kaylee R. Croker, 20 years old from Oakland, was also arrested. Ms. Croker was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were released on their own recognizance and have pending court appearances.
Marijuana Arrest: On December 23, 2017 at 12:37 a.m., Ptl. Cesar Hurtado observed a vehicle exceeding the speed limit on Route 23 South. Ptl. Hurtado stopped the car and made contact with the occupants. During the conversation with the driver, the officer observed a container that appeared to have a small amount of marijuana inside. Anthony J. DiCarlo, 19 years old from Hackensack, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Mr. DiCarlo was charged with speeding and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance and has a pending court appearance.
