Possession of CDS (Marijuana): January 4, 2013 @ 19:18 Hrs.
Ptl. Michael Kimak was dispatched to Route 23 south near the Boulevard in Pompton Plains, NJ for a possible disabled motor vehicle. Upon his arrival, he observed a red Nissan Altima with Virginia plates on the shoulder of the roadway. The driver advised the officer she was waiting for AAA, when he observed a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. When he advised the driver of his observation, the driver advised Ptl. Kimak she had smoked earlier and had some marijuana in her possession. After handing the officer the CDS, the driver, identified as: Felicia N. Corrado, 22 years of age from Manchester, NH was placed under arrest. She was charged with Possession of CDS (Marijuana) and released pending her appearance in Municipal Court.
Possession of CDS (Crack Cocaine): January 5, 2013 @ 20:57 Hrs.
Ptl. Jack Lyon was monitoring traffic on Route 23 north in Pompton Plains, NJ when he observed a 2000 Dodge Neon and conducted a random plate check coming back expired in 2012. After stopping the vehicle, the passenger was making movements appearing to be hiding something. Upon speaking with the occupants, Ptl. Lyon observed a plastic bag hidden between the passenger’s legs. The passenger continued to attempt to hide the bag, when the officer reached into the vehicle and secured the plastic bag containing white chunks, believed to be crack cocaine. The passenger was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. The 30 year old female driver from Bloomingdale, NJ was charged with having an Expired Registration. The passenger, identified as: Brian C. Timony, 33 years of age from Bloomingdale, NJ was charged with Possession of CDS (Crack Cocaine) and released pending his appearance in Municipal Court.
Possession of CDS (Cocaine), Drug Paraphernalia, Hypodermic Syringes, CDS in Motor Vehicle: January 6, 2013 @ 21:35 Hrs.
Ptl. Michael Kimak was on patrol when he observed a silver Pontiac traveling on West Parkway in Pompton Plains, NJ with a brake light out. Upon stopping the vehicle, he spoke with the driver, identified as: Louis P. Albano, 29 years of age from Pompton Plains, NJ. In speaking with Mr. Albano, the officer observed a glass pipe in a seat pocket, with cocaine residue still on it. Mr. Albano was placed under arrest. Upon a search along with his arrest, the officer located two zip lock plastic baggies containing cocaine in his pants pocket. A further search of the vehicle located a hypodermic syringe on the floor. Mr. Albano was charged with Possession of CDS (Cocaine), Drug Paraphernalia, Hypodermic Syringe, and CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
