DWI Arrest: On August 19, 2018 at 2:07 a.m., Ptl. Christopher McIvor was patrolling Route 23 North and observed a dark colored SUV make an improper turn at the Jackson Avenue intersection. As the vehice in question made the turn, Ptl. McIvor observed it drive onto the curb and back onto the roadway. Ptl. McIvor conducted a traffic stop on Pompton Plains Cross Road in Wayne Township and made contact with the driver, later identified as Guy Gemore, 25 years old of West Milford, N.J. Ptl. McIvor observed that Mr. Gemore displayed multiple signs of alcohol consumption. Mr. Gemore was asked to perform field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested upon the conclusion of the tests. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, and improper turn at a traffic signal. He was released to a third party and has a scheduled court date at the Pequannock Municipal Court.
