DWI Arrest: On September 8, 2018 at 2:31 a.m., Ptl. Sean Higgins was on patrol in the area of the Boulevard. At that time he performed a license plate check which came back that the registered owner’s license was expired. Ptl. Higgins performed a traffic stop on the vehicle in question and contacted the registered owner/operator, Selena Harrison, 41 years old of Lincoln Park, N.J. Ptl. Higgins reported that he immediately detected a strong odor of an alcoholic type beverage coming from the interior of the car and confirmed with Ms. Harrison that she had consumed alcohol. After a brief conversation with Ms. Harrison she was asked to exit her car to perform field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, Ms. Harrison was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. Ms. Harrison was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with an expired driver’s license, and careless driving. She was released to a third party and has a scheduled court date at the Pequannock Municipal Court.
