CDS Arrests & Warrant Arrest: On October 19, 2018 at 1:47 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Nelson was monitoring traffic on Newark Pompton Turnpike. At that time, he observed a 2013 silver Ford Escape pass his location. As it passed, he identified the passenger as, Sean Sisler, 38 years old of Pequannock. Ptl. Nelson was aware that Mr. Sisler had an active warrant out of the Pequannock Municipal Court. Ptl. Nelson made a traffic stop on the silver Ford and made contact with Mr. Sisler and the driver, later identified as Jason Whitty, 38 years old of Pequannock. Mr. Sisler was removed from the passenger side and placed under arrest for the warrant. A subsequent search of Mr. Sisler’s person yielded the discovery of 40 folds of suspected heroin. A search of Mr. Whitty’s car revealed several more folds of suspected heroin and hypodermic syringe needles. Mr. Whitty was placed under arrest for this contraband. Both subjects were transported to Pequannock Police Headquarters where Mr. Sisler was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was transported to the Morris County Jail with a scheduled appearance at the Morris County Superior Court. Mr. Whitty was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic syringe needles, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance with a scheduled court date at the Morris County Superior Court.
