CDS Arrests: On March 12, 2019 at 9:53 p.m., Ptl. Kevin Boone was on patrol on Hopper Avenue. He observed a white 2001 BMW with an equipment violation. The BMW in question then pulled to the side of the road. Ptl. Boone activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. He then made contact with the operator, later identified as Christopher Reynolds, 40 years old of Pompton Plains, N.J. During his conversation with Mr. Reynolds, Ptl. Boone made several observations that lead him to believe Mr. Reynolds was under the influence of some type of narcotic. Through further investigation it was established that a controlled dangerous substance was in the car. A search of the vehicle and Mr. Reynolds’ person yielded suspected Percocet, Oxycodone, Suboxone and Clenbuterol pills. Additionally, a bottle of suspected Testosterone was located. Mr. Reynolds did not have a prescription for any of these items. Mr. Reynolds was subsequently placed under arrest and was transported to the Pequannock Police Department for processing. He was charged with four counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle and Inadequate license Plate Illumination. Mr. Reynolds was released with a scheduled appearance at the Morris County Superior Court.
