Motor Vehicle Accident Results in DWI Arrest:  On December 16, 2014 at 8:38 a.m., Ptl. Leonard Anzano responded to the area of North Boulevard School to investigate a report of a motor vehicle accident.  Upon his arrival, Ptl. Anzano was informed by one of the drivers that while she was parked, her vehicle was sideswiped by another car.  Another witness also came forward and advised Ptl. Anzano that he had been following the car that had crashed and that it had been operating erratically prior to the accident.  Ptl. Anzano made contact with the operator of the vehicle that had caused the accident and observed several signs of impairment.  After having the driver perform several field sobriety tests, the officer arrested Laurie L. Porpora, 37 years old from Pequannock.  Ms. Porpora was transported to headquarters where she was processed and charged with reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.  She was released to a third party and has a pending court appearance.
