Stolen Vehicle: On November 14, 2014 at 11:19 a.m., Ptl. Kenneth Hunt responded to Route 23 Honda car dealership to investigate a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon his arrival, Ptl. Hunt spoke with an employee who stated a 2005 white Nissan 350Z that was traded in for a newly purchased car, was stolen from the parking lot. Surveillance video showed an unknown male enter the vehicle and drive it off of the lot. The case is under investigation by the Pequannock Twp. Police Detective Bureau.
DWI Arrest: On November 15, 2014 at 4:09 a.m., Ptl. Jeffrey Jones was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle in the Heino's Ski Shop lot, parked across several of the marked parking stalls with its headlights and tail lights illuminated. Ptl. Jones approached the running vehicle and observed the only occupant to be a female asleep in the passenger seat. Ptl. Jones was able to wake up the occupant who appeared disoriented and was unsure of her location. The occupant also exhibited several signs of being under the influence of alcohol. After several conflicting stories, the occupant admitted to driving the vehicle to its location and falling asleep. Several field sobriety tests were administered at the scene. As a result, Rosa A. Cisneros, 25 years old from Clifton, was arrested, transported to headquarters and processed. Ms. Cisneros was charged with careless driving and driving while intoxicated. She was released to a third party and has a pending appearance in municipal court.
