Fire Department: - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - TO JOIN, PLEASE CALL THE DEPARTMENT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN The Pequannock Township Fire Department is made up of two Volunteer Fire Companies: Pompton Plains Engine Company #1, located on Jackson Avenue, serves the Township north of Tilley Avenue. Engine Company #2, located on Oak Avenue, serves the area south of Tilley. Both fire companies respond to all serious incidents including structure fires and to all calls during daytime hours. Each year the Fire Department, which is staffed completely by volunteers, responds to approximately 300 calls. All members receive basic training at the Morris County Fire Academy.
