The Pompton Plains Railroad Station, circa 1906, now the Pequannock Twp Museum

THE MARTIN BERRY HOUSE One of the oldest homes in Pequannock Township is the  circa 1720 Martin Berry House. The house has been preserved and cared for by the present owner for nearly 50 years. Many township groups have had the opportunity to tour the house and artifacts. The township has an opportunity in the immediate future to purchase this property to preserve it for future generations, both as a House museum and meeting space. Our current museum space is very limited to tell the story of our over 300 year history.

Are you interested in becoming a "Friend of Pequannock History" to helps us preserve and promote this important house and property? Please feel free to contact the Historic District Commission using the email address on this page or call Township Historian Ed Engelbart using the main township phone number below. Check out the Friends of Pequannock History in this facebook group.

Ed Engelbart has prepared an excellent presentation on the house which is being presented to various organizations around the township. If your organization would like to host an event, please contact Ed or the commission.
