CDS Arrest: On May 3, 2018 at 2:10 p.m., Ptl. Michael Kimak was monitoring traffic on Route 23 South. Ptl. Kimak conducted a check of a license plate and received an alert that the registered owner had a warrant for her arrest. Ptl. Kimak made a traffic stop on the vehicle in question and contacted the operator who he found to be the registered owner of the car, Patricia Gardocki-Schultz, 51 years old, of West Milford N.J. After confirming her identity, Ptl. Kimak placed Ms. Gardocki-Schultz under arrest for the warrant out of Morris Plains, N.J. In searching Ms. Gardocki-Schultz and her property after the arrest, Ptl. Kimak located a suspected controlled danger substance in her possession. She was transported back to police headquarters where she was processed and subsequently charged with failure to turn over CDS to law enforcement. Ms. Gardocki-Schultz was able to post bail for the warrant out of Morris Pains and an additional warrant out of Clifton, N.J. She was released pending an appearance in the Pequannock Municipal Court.
