Distribution of CDS and Possession of CDS Arrests: On May 1, 2019 at 3:16 p.m., officers responded to the Quick Chek convenience store on Jackson Ave. for the report of a possible drug transaction.  Upon the arrival of Ptl. James Dericks, he located a 2003 BMW and a 2014 Ford Mustang that matched the description given by the caller.  Ptl. Dericks made contact with the operator of the BMW, later identified as Michael Todd, 54 years old of Pompton Plains, N.J. and the operator of the Ford Mustang, John Logothetis, 34 years old of Fairlawn, N.J.  During Ptl. Dericks’ investigation it was determined that a drug transaction had taken place between Mr. Todd and Mr. Logothetis where Mr. Todd provided Mr. Logothetis with suspected Amphetamine Salts.  Both men were placed under arrest and transported to the Pequannock Police Department for processing.  Mr. Todd was charged with Driving While Suspended for Two or More Driving While intoxicated Convictions, Distribution of CDS Within 500 Feet of a Public Building, Distribution of CDS, and Driving while Suspended.  Mr. Logothetis was charged Possession of Five or More Doses of a Prescription Medication, and Allowing an Unlicensed Person to Drive.  Both parties were released with scheduled appearances at the Morris County Superior Court.
