Detective Bureau
The Detective Bureau is responsible for coordination of most major incidents and follow-up investigations. Members of the Detective Bureau collect and secure evidence at crime scenes, provide fingerprinting for commercial licensing requirements, and conduct drug investigations, as well as, prepare all major cases for prosecution at the Superior Court level.
We encourages our residents to assist our officers in reporting crimes and serve as our eyes and ears in our neighborhoods to help solve crimes. Anyone who has information on any incidents listed in our Police Blotter, or any crimes that may not have been reported, are encouraged to contact a member of the Detective Bureau. All information will be held strictly confidential.

Det/Lt Balunis is also the Police Department's Internal Affairs Officer. He is charged with the responsibility of handling any complaints against officers of the Department.
