On April 30, 2020 Gov. Murphy issued EO-133 Reopening State Parks and Golf Courses and restoring County authority over County Parks. All Township of Pequannock Parks are now open, with restrictions, e.g. playground equipment, etc. remain closed.
As of May 2, 2020, Executive Order No. 133 provides for the reopening of State Parks and Golf Courses and restores authority to Counties to determine whether county park will be open or closed.
Within the Township of Pequannock, all parks remain open for passive recreation, including Mountainside Park, which was reopened on May 1, 2020. However, playgrounds, the dog park, sport courts and fields are closed for active recreational activities, e.g. basketball, tennis, baseball and soccer, etc. If you have any specific questions about what may or may not be open, please contact Parks & Recreation.
