Township of Pequannock Municipal offices will continue to remain open during regular operating hours. It is not necessary to curtail normal Township activities. The State of NJ is considered to be low Risk.
Morris County is considered to be no or minimal risk, at this time.
The State of NJ has recommended that gatherings of more than two-hundred and fifty people be canceled and not conducted at this time.
The Pequannock Health Department would like to remind residents who are experiencing respiratory symptoms to stay at home. Those who are over the age of sixty with underlying health conditions should avoid crowds and gatherings. Travel by air or by mass transit should also be avoided by this vulnerable population.
Please remember to wash hands rigorously for not less than twenty seconds with hand soap and warm water. Cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow. Disinfect door knobs, handles and frequently used surfaces. Avoid touching your face, mouth, eyes and nose. Keep a distance of six or more feet when communicating with others, whenever possible.
No other actions are prescribed at this time. Pequannock Township will adhere to any additional actions that are recommended by higher levels of government, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the State of NJ. Recommendations will be reviewed throughout each day. The public will be advised of any changes or new recommendations that are issued as the situation develops.
